Hey, look. A map.
Yeah, I'm not an artist. But thanks to Microsoft Paint, there is sort of a map. Hopefully, there will be a better map if there's a second book.
Notice that the river is brown to indicate its less than appealing hue. Hmm, scale might not be accurate as Boss Vostic's casino is probably as big as the hospital. Mayor Kakisto's mansion is modeled after Versailles (only larger) but is probably not almost as big as Privilege Pond.
I don't believe the Roman Catholic cathedral, St. Rita of the Lost Cause, made it into the book, nor did Zugfield State College and Remedial A&M. You may see them in book two.
The airport is too far to the east to have made it on the map. About 90 miles farther to the east (or about eight to twelve hours away) is the capital of Arkanois, Greenswift. St. Louis and Memphis are both about 2 1/2 hours farther. We think.
If you recall, Bustleburg is something of a closed city like Krasnoyarsk-26 in Russia or Area-51. However, those cities are closed to outsiders. Bustleburg is semi-closed in the other direction.
Escaping Bustleburg to the north, south, and west is made nigh impossible by the Smog Barrens. You can potentially make your way out, but you may have to brave fires from jatropha farms which often block roads. Also, once you emerge there's no telling where you'll be. Oklahoma? Indiana? You might as well attempt to leave by going east. Or better yet, stay put.
